Marian Weinberg, a longtime resident of Stamford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, at the age of 93.
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Marian embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm from an early age. Her childhood was filled with adventures exploring New York City with friends, afternoons at the movies, and happy summers spent at camp. In the 1940s, she embarked on a cross-country road trip with her family, an experience that sparked a lifelong love of travel and discovering new places.
Marian graduated from Hunter College in New York City and married Marvin Weinberg, in 1955. Soon after they were married, they settled in Stamford, where they raised their two daughters. They shared 61 years of marriage before Marvin's passing.
Marian's passion for travel led her to a career as a travel agent. Whether planning family vacations, exploring the world with friends, or scouting new destinations alongside fellow travel professionals, she loved experiencing different places and cultures.
She also believed deeply in helping others and quietly supported many charitable organizations throughout her life, reflecting her generous spirit and compassion.
Marian is survived by her two daughters, Jane Rosenbush (Dave) and Susan Fowler (John). She was a grandmother to three grandchildren and great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren, including a baby boy born just weeks before her passing. She also leaves behind a beloved niece and nephew and many dear friends.
Marian spent the last four years living at Waterstone where she enjoyed many activities with both old and new friends. She was also deeply appreciative of the support received from staff and aides.
Marian will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
