Marilyn Grace Schawk

Marilyn Grace Schawk, 92, of Sarasota passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026.

Marilyn was born in Chicago to John and Olga (Maschoff) Rieck. She was predeceased by them and her brother Vernon and sisters Arlene (Kinkel) and Elaine (Miller). She married Clarence W Schawk (1926-2014) on June 6, 1953.

She is survived by her four children Cathy, David (Teryl), Judy Gallo (Bruce) and Lisa Stearns (Scott); seven grandchildren, Kelly, Colleen, Kara, Jessica, William, Mallory and Sarah Grace; twelve great grandchildren and many nieces’ nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Marilyn’s first passion was her strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; Love for her family and friends comes in at a close second. She was known for her generous spirit and giving heart. She loved well and was well loved.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2185 Wood Street, Sarasota FL 34237.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Foundation (CLEF) at clefchicago.org or Faith Radio at myfaithradio.com.
