Obituary for Mario Fortier
Mario Fortier, aged 66, passed away peacefully at the Maison Aube-Lumière, surrounded by loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Evelyne Cormier, son of the late Alice Boucher and Alyre Fortier. Mario resided in Sherbrooke.
He is survived by his wife Evelyne, his brother and sisters: Gisèle (late Lucien), Marcel (Madeleine), Gaétane (Michel), Céline (Yves). He was preceded by his brothers Ronaldo (Yolande), Gaétan, and sister Lorraine. Additionally, he leaves behind sisters-in-law: Christine (Gaétan) and Sylvie (André), as well as many nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends, and colleagues.
The family extends their gratitude to the staff and volunteers at the Maison Aube-Lumière for their compassion and gentle care.
A viewing will be held at the Cooperative Funerary of Estrie, 485 Rue du 24-Juin, Sherbrooke, on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM to pay last respects.
Memorial donations can be made to the Maison Aube-Lumière.
Mario's memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
