Mark Edward Gomand passed away at the age of 35. He was born on December 28, 1990, in San Antonio, Texas, to Edward Vorheier and Linda Gomand.
Mark was a devoted son, grandson, brother, partner, cousin, and friend whose kindness and enthusiasm for life touched everyone he met. He loved people wholeheartedly and never met a stranger. Known for his strong work ethic and determination, Mark was a true go-getter who approached every challenge with confidence and dedication. Whether at work, at home, or with friends, he always gave his best and inspired others through his drive and positive attitude.
Mark took pride in presenting himself well and was always dressed for the occasion, no matter the event. He had a passion for technology and creativity, especially 3D printing, and enjoyed bringing ideas to life through his projects. He treasured time spent with family and friends and never passed up an opportunity to gather, celebrate, or simply enjoy each other's company. Game nights with loved ones were among his favorite pastimes, creating countless memories filled with laughter and friendly competition.
One of the most special relationships in Mark's life was with his grandmother, Cheryl Gomand. He loved spending time with her, taking her to lunch, sharing stories, and enjoying her company. Their bond was one he deeply cherished.
Mark proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he was actively serving at the time of his passing. His military career gave him the opportunity to travel the world, an experience he embraced with gratitude and excitement. Through his service, he experienced different cultures, met people from all walks of life, and formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. He served with honor, dedication, and pride.
Mark is survived by his mother, Linda Gomand; his father, Edward Vorheier; and his grandmother, Cheryl Gomand. He also leaves behind his brothers, Jeremy Vorheier, Timothy Vorheier, and Ethan Colyer.
He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Karolyn Ann Manalo, who brought great joy and companionship to his life. He also leaves behind his cousin, Taylor Gomand, whom he considered a brother.
Mark is further survived by Uncle Michael Gomand and wife Kathleen, and their children Alexander and Abigail Gomand; Aunt Kristine Shedrock and husband Mark, and their children Preston Krzyzanowski, Justin Shedrock and his daughter Jaylynne, Anthony Shedrock and wife Claire, and Jordan Shedrock; Uncle Phillip Gomand and his children Michelle Walker, Michael Gomand and wife Ronda and their children Athena, Kyla, and Ariel, and Tiffany Gomand and her children Faith, Theo, and Amelia; along with numerous other family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Mark's legacy is one of love, service, generosity, adventure, and unwavering devotion to those he cared about. He lived life fully, worked hard, loved deeply, and made lasting memories wherever he went. Though he will be profoundly missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
