Mark Taylor Burwick

Mark was born in St. Cloud, MN to Harold L. Burwick and Myrel Kruger Burwick in 1949.

Mark was graduated from St. Cloud State in St. Cloud, MN with a degree in photographic engineering. He later retired from Eastman Kodak. Mark had worked in San Antonio, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia and spent time working in Besançon, France, China, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. He enjoyed fixing anything mechanical, building projects around the house, tending to his gardens, and playing tennis. He loved teaching his skills to his children and he loved his boxer dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pattie Bailey Burwick; sons, Matthew Burwick and Chad Burwick; his sister, Lynne (Jim) Merrick; his brother, Brian (Janel) Burwick; his nephew, Brett (Natalie) Burwick; nieces, Leah Burwick, Heather (Greg) Schu, and Amber (Derek) Larson and great nieces and nephews, Ellie, Avery, Hannah, Carter, Roko and Mav.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill, 1157 Old Canton Road NE in Marietta, Georgia on June 13th, 2026, at 2:00 pm with a casual dress code. A reception with light refreshments is to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you plant a calla lily (Mark’s favorite) or your favorite flower in your yard and think of him when it blooms or make a donation to your favorite charity.
