Mary Ann Welsh Dickson

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Welsh Dickson from Entry Island, a deeply loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and the true heart of her family.

Mary Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Ada Turnbull and Charles Welsh. She was the devoted wife of Harold Dickson, sharing a love that was strong, steady, and admired by all who knew her.

To her children, Timmy (Angele) and Jenny (Randy), she was more than a mother—she was their safe place, their strength, and their constant source of love and guidance. Her family was her whole world, and she gave everything she had to those she loved.

She will be forever cherished by her grandchildren: Jesse (Marie Pierre), Alex (Katelyn), Ashtin, and Morgan (Elodie), and by her precious great-grandchildren, Thomas and Maddie, who brought a special light into her life. Nothing made her happier than having her family close, hearing their laughter, and knowing they were cared for.

Mary Ann is lovingly remembered by her siblings Norman (Sherry), David (Valery), and Vera (Winfred). She was predeceased by her brother Tom (Joan), whom she held close in her heart. She also leaves behind many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved dearly.

Mary Ann had a rare and beautiful way of always putting others first. She was the one people turned to—for comfort, for help, or simply for love. Her home, and her heart, were always open. She was the kind of woman who held her family together, quietly and strongly, and whose love will continue to live on in each of them.

Though our hearts are heavy and life will never be the same without her, we find comfort in knowing that her love surrounds us still. She leaves behind not just memories, but a legacy of love that will guide her family.
