Mary Elizabeth Bailey Henry, 91, passed on August 20, 2026; she was born December 25, 1934, in Harpersville, Alabama, and was a resident of Sylacauga, Alabama.
Mary is survived by her children, John Calvin Bailey Jr (Pearl) and Elizabeth Jean Hom (Garvin); her grandchildren, Jeremy Emfinger (Christi), Christy Warlick (Judson), Jennifer Green (David), Justin Bailey (Lisa), Dana Clem (Eric), and Heather Rowan; her great-grandchildren, Lilly Brewer, Jess Brewer, Matthew Brewer, Jacob Emfinger, Owen Green, Ben Rowan, Jerome Bailey, Kansas Bailey, Chase Stephenson, and Zach Stephenson; numerous great great grandchildren; her brother, Oran Harrington, and her sister, Emma Whitten.She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Bailey; her second husband, Doyle Henry; her sisters, Doris Hartly, Frankie Raines, Sara McBride, and Jewel Gibbs; and her brother, Kenneth Harrington and great grandson, Christopher Jackson.She loved working outside clearing the land. She anchored 3 generations in grace, creating a home where every child felt safe, seen and deeply cherished.
Visitation will be held at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on August 23, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service in the Chapel at Radney-Smith Funeral Home on August 23, 2026, at 2:00 pm with Bro. Bryan Taunton officiating.
Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 1501 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga.
