Mary June Allen

Mary “June” Allen, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026. She was born on June 3, 1939, in Georgia to the late Henry and Molly Robinson. Although born and raised in Georgia, June spent the majority of her life in Alabama, where she built a life centered around faith, family, and love.

Graveside Visitation will be held at Rainbow Memorial Gardens, 1440 W Grand Ave, Gadsden, Alabama 35904, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Graveside Service at 11:00 am. Rev. Zac Clay will officiate.

June was proud to be the first person in her family to graduate from high school. She attended Etowah High School and graduated with the Class of 1956. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her wonderful cooking, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Some of her favorite things included spending time with her family, working word searches and watching television with “pawpaw,” and making memories with her beloved great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Molly Robinson, and her siblings, Nancy, H.V., Beverly, Linda, Sharon, and Stanley.

Left to cherish her memory is the love of her life of 69 years, Billy Ray Allen; her children, Jimmy, Susan (Jimmy), and Misty; special sister, Jody Robinson; grandchildren, Joey (Janisha), Casey, Dillon (Shelby), Matthew, and Austin; and great-grandchildren, Aralyn, Mavis, Chrislyn, Rylie, and Asher.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Allen, Joey Allen, Casey Couch, Dillon Couch, Jimmy Brown, and Tyler Brown.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Alabama Hospice Care of Birmingham, as well as Josh, Suzanne, and Dane with Amedisys, for the compassionate care and kindness shown to June and her family during this time.
