Born on April 24, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, Michael lived a life defined by service, generosity, resilience, and unwavering devotion to his family. He graduated from Sewanhaka High School before earning his Bachelor’s Degree from Empire State University. Throughout his life, Michael embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and serve others.
Michael proudly served as a member of the New York City Police Department, a career that reflected his commitment to protecting others. Following his retirement, he pursued another lifelong passion by attending the Culinary Institute, where he transformed his love of cooking into an extraordinary career as a chef. He worked in some of the finest restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, where his talent, creativity, and dedication to excellence earned the admiration of colleagues and guests alike.
Yet, those who knew Michael best knew that his greatest joy was not cooking for distinguished guests—it was preparing unforgettable meals for the people he loved most. Whether hosting holidays, family gatherings, or simply making dinner, Michael expressed his love through food. His kitchen was a place where laughter was shared, traditions were created, and everyone always left with a full heart and a full plate.
Later in his career, Michael became the Director of Security at Windermere Preparatory School, where he was far more than a security director. Every morning, students, parents, faculty, and staff were greeted by his warm smile, kind words, and genuine compassion. His infectious personality made everyone feel welcome, safe, and valued, leaving a lasting impression on countless families within the school community.
Above all else, family was Michael’s greatest priority. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend whose greatest source of pride was the people he loved. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, or put someone else’s needs before his own. His kindness, humility, strength, and unwavering generosity defined the way he lived every day.
To know Michael was to love him. His infectious smile, remarkable sense of humor, generous heart, and ability to make everyone feel like family left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his compassion, friendship, and selfless love.
