Monique Deschênes

Biography

Monique Deschênes passed away at the age of 69 on July 12, 2026, at the Centre multi. SSS de Macamic. She was a resident of La Sarre and was the daughter of the late Julien Deschênes and Gabrielle Deschênes. She was the wife of Claude Noël.

She leaves behind her husband, two daughters Mylène (Luc Côté) and Vicky (Tommy Collard), her four grandchildren Florence, Charles, Léna, and Axelle, her siblings Ida (Charles-Eugène Savard), Aline (the late Richard Bois), Denis (Normand) (Ginette Desbiens), Colette (Émilien Savard), Germaine, Jean-Luc (Nicole Lessard), the late Roger (Diane Boulianne), Guy "Ti-Pit" (Hélène Boulianne), Bernard, Sylvie (Gaétan Gilbert), Louise (Daniel Savard), Louis (Cindy Breton), and Mario (Lise Gagnon). She also leaves many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Centre multi. SSS de Macamic, with a special thanks to Guylaine, Anthony, and Marie-Pier. Donations can be made to Passage de l'Aurore at the specified address. Visitation will be held at the Coopérative funéraire de l'Abitibi, 200, 3e rue Est, La Sarre, on July 19, 2026, from 14:00 to 17:00 and 19:00 to 21:00, and on July 20, 2026, from 09:00 to 10:00. The funeral service will take place on July 20, 2026, at 10:30 am at Église Saint-André de La Sarre, with burial at the Chazel cemetery.
