Mr. Freddie Lee Wade Sr.

Freddie Lee Wade, Sr., 82, of Bellville, TX, died in Syracuse, New York, surrounded by his loved ones on August 7, 2026.

He was born in Houston on August 28, 1943 to Eugene Wade and Vallie Mae Williams. Freddie attended Kashmere High School, before going to work for the City of Houston. After retiring from the City of Houston, Freddie later worked at Coca-Cola in Brenham, while establishing a small farm in Bellville, TX.

Freddie married the love of his life, Ann Elizabeth Wade (Sonier) on November 16, 1963 and they raised four children together.

Freddie was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Wade; mother, Vallie Mae Williams; wife, Ann Elizabeth Wade; son, Froncia (Milo) Wade; four siblings, a grandchild and a great grandchild.

Freddie is survived by three children, Wendell Wade, Wanda Wade Price, Freddie Lee Wade, Jr. (Lisa); his “sister” Kathy Idlebird; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and several close nieces and nephews.

Freddie was known by everyone who knew him as a kind and loving man who would help anyone in their time of need. Freddie was a devoted Christian and loved spending time with family and friends more than anything in the world. Freddie would sit and listen to others talk for hours because he truly enjoyed the comfort of being together with family and friends. As a father, raising his children, if the children couldn’t attend an event, they would not attend. He put children/family first.

Freddie loved to go to the movies, drive-in movies, or watch some of his favorite action-packed shows. In his later years, he loved to watch some good old-fashioned Westerns and Steve Harvey’s Family Feud. Freddie enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with family at the beach and fishing. Freddie also enjoyed playing his guitar and harmonica.
