Paul Francis Fortura

Paul F. Fortura, 79, of Stuart, FL, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 6, 2026. He was the son of the late Pasqualena and Rocco Fortura.

Paul graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in 1966. In his youth, Paul was an avid hockey player. Known as “Gordy”, he dominated both the American and Canadien hockey arenas. Paul went on to be a skilled millwright with Hooker/Oxy Chemical for 38 years.

Paul’s passions were betting the horses and watching his beloved Buffalo Bills. His greatest joy was spending his time with his “girls”.

Paul is survived by his wife, Sheila, his daughters Barbara Lee (Phillip) and Carrie, his granddaughters Carrie Lee and Nicolena, and his great granddaughter, Kalyna Lee. He will also be missed by his special family, the Venute’s.

In honoring Paul’s wishes, the family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Paul’s memory to The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, 112 Spring Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
