Peggy Jane Locke

Mom’s born in Indiana, on May 24 1933 to Ethel ZeBelle and Merrill Smith. She spent her early years living in a multi-generational home with her grandmother. Her parents divorced when she was a baby. In 1937, they moved to Yuma, Arizona, then to Hollywood, California. She loved exploring the city, attending dances, and traveling to Indiana and Maryland. She married Norton Locke in 1957. She was a dedicated mother, homemaker, and actively involved in community activities including Jewish cultural festivals, Sisterhood, and volunteering. Later, she moved to Paradise Village in 2014, engaging actively in the community. She celebrated her 93rd birthday and will be remembered for her love of life, family, and her spirited personality.
