At the Jeffery Hale Hospital, on August 10, 2026, at the age of 70, Mr. Philippe Léonard passed away. He was the son of the late Madame Simone Gravelle and the late Mr. Donat Léonard. Born in Ottawa, he lived in Quebec.
He leaves behind his daughter Gabrielle Léonard (Alexandre Pelletier-Bédard); his siblings: Louise (Gaëtan Bédard), Gisèle, Blanche (the late Claude Perreault), Hélène (Guy Falardeau), Robert (Sylvie Gilbert), and Jean-Marc (Louise Brousseau); his ex-partner France Godin, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive condolences, in the presence of the ashes, at the Funeral Cooperative of the Two Banks, at the Funeral Center of the Plateau, 693, avenue Nérée-Tremblay, Quebec G1N 4R8, on Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated on the same day at 12 PM. The ashes will be interred at Notre-Dame-de-Belmont Cemetery at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the palliative care staff at Jeffery Hale Hospital and the staff of Chanoine Scott Residence for their dignified care. Condolence messages can be made through donations to the Quebec Cancer Foundation or the Portage Foundation.
