Rachel Annette Bales was called home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Rachel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to serving God and her family. Rachel was born on March 20, 1940, in Bremen, Georgia. Rachel was a devoted Christian of Baptist faith and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she worked in accounting at Erlanger Hospital and later at Harrison Bay Vocational Center.
At home, she centered her life around God and family by studying her Bible, tending the garden, preparing and preserving foods, and teaching generations to love one another and be kind to others.
Rachel is survived by, Joe Bales, her devoted husband of 67 years; her children, Donna (Richard) Sivley, Danny Bales, and Scott (Stacey) Bales; her grandchildren, Heather Sivley, Rickey Sivley, Charity Bales, Shelby Bales, Austin Bales, and Thomas Bales; and seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and close friend for 67 years, Jeanette Arp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lola Beatrice King and Martin Albert King, and her daughter, Teana Annette Bales, sister, Lillian Wise and brother Charles King.
