Rachelle Maltais

On June 11, 2026, at the age of 92, Mrs. Rachelle Maltais, wife of the late Mr. Raoul Gilbert, passed away in Alma. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Salomon Maltais and Mrs. Antoinette Claveau.

Her family will receive condolences on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 14h to 17h and from 19h to 21h, and on Sunday, June 28, 2026, starting from 9h at the Résidence Funéraire Lac St-Jean, 611, chemin du Pont Taché Nord, Alma. The farewell ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 10h30 at the Chapelle Marc Richard.

Mrs. Maltais has been entrusted to the crematorium and her ashes will be placed in the Lac St-Jean columbarium. She leaves behind her children: the late Judes Gilbert, Bruno (Annie Lapointe), Gaétan (the late Lise Ouellet, Rita Gagnon), Lucie (Doris Simard), Édith, France (Donald Lachance), Camil (Kathy Jodry), Clara (the late Jocelyn Tremblay, Jacques Lalonde), Rodrigue (Mélanie Fortin), and Monique (Steeve Boulanger); her grandchildren: Charles-Éric, Alexandre, Mireille, Maxime, Jean-Christophe, Olivier, the late Jean-Michel, Annie-Pier, Kelly, Mickaël, Samuel, Bianka, Carole-Ann, Jessica, Charles, Laura, Uldérick, Cynthia, and Andrée-Ann; her great-grandchildren: Alicia, Bryan, Livia-Rose, Sophia-Maude, Henri, Talia, Tom, Jordan, Alexis, Lucas, Malik, Logan, Dylan, Édouard, Jayden, Mickaëlla, and Laurent.

She was the sister of the late Rémi Maltais, the late Thérèse Maltais (the late Thomas-Émile Maltais), the late Jean-Marie Maltais (the late Rosanne Hudon), the late Francis Maltais (the late Anne-Marie Munger), the late Rita Savard (the late Florent Fortin), the late Doria Savard (the late Rose-Yvette Simard), the late Jean-Charles Savard (the late Raymonde Fleury), the late Pascal Savard (the late Rose-Aline Fortin), the late Florent Maltais, (the late Annabelle Harvey), the late Yvon Maltais (Odile Simard), Robert Maltais, (the late Cécile Harvey), the late Ambroise Maltais (Colette Tremblay), and Aline Maltais. She was the sister-in-law of the late Roland Gilbert (the late Simone St-Laurent), the late Gertrude (the late Cyrille Tremblay), the late Raymond (the late Béatrice Tremblay), the late Marie-Reine, the late Lucienne (the late Joseph-Henri Blackburn), the late Clément, and the late Jean. She also leaves behind her godchildren: Colette Maltais, Anne Gilbert, and Mireille Simard, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
