Ricardo R. Castillo Sr., age 74, of Weslaco, Texas, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 29, 2026. He was born on March 15, 1952, in Mercedes, Texas.
Ricardo was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He lived a life grounded in hard work, love, and quiet strength, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. His presence brought comfort, guidance, and warmth to his family and friends, and his memory will continue to live on through them.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria G. Castillo; his children, Cynthia Lee Coronado and family, Miguel Aguirre and family, Ricardo Castillo Jr. and family, and Roel Castillo and family. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Ricardo will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his resilience, and the love he shared so freely. His legacy lives on in the lives of those he touched.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Highland, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, TX 78599, on May 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A Rosary will take place at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco, TX 78599, on May 2, 2026, at 7:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
