Richard Nicholas Mihalco

12 juillet 2026 Dignity Memorial

Richard Nicholas Mihalco, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully on Sunday July 12, 2026 in Snohomish, WA. Rick was born in Pueblo, Colorado to Richard and Maurine. He grew up with his five sisters and always spoke lovingly of growing up surrounded by his large extended family and family friends.

Rick spent his career as a proud Local #3 Union plumber. He was an avid outdoorsman, basketball player, golfer, and bowler, and he enjoyed sharing his love of these things with all those around him. Most of his best stories came from participating in these activities with family and friends, usually hilariously exaggerated.

Rick was a loyal friend and generally the life of the party. In the last several years, he found joy in watching his grandchildren play youth sports, making new friends in the PNW, bowling and playing golf, enjoying breakfast everyday at the local diner … and keeping the lawn mowed at the family homestead.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Grace, their children: Jim, Katie, and Lynn and her husband Rob, grandchildren: Tessa, Atlas, Tim, and Ty, his granddogs: Daisy and Kona, as well as his 5 sisters: Nancy, Debbie, Cathy, Lori, and Christy, and their families. He will be sorely missed by his best dog bud, Rio, and a trail of friends too long to list.

Rick leaves behind a legacy of hard work, a wealth of practical wisdom, and a family he deeply loved.
