Richard Olin Christian, age 91, of Springboro, OH; went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday September 7, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. Richard was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on July 10, 1935 to the late Howard and Sarah (Gehring) Christian.
Richard was a graduate of Indiana University, class of 1957, he served our country in the United States Army and was discharged in 1963. He was employed with Cummins Engine Company for 17 years and Dayco, VP of International for 25 years, retiring in 2002. Richard was an avid IU sports fan, enjoyed traveling with his Companion, Sharon, cooking, and was a very generous man.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Susalee Rullman. Richard is survived by his two daughters, Diana (Brian) Clark, Lore (Doug) Dawes; his five grandchildren, Amy (Joe) Paulson, Benjamin (Osiris) Clark, Sarah (Tyler) DeKoekkoek, Emily (David) Leigh-Pemberton, Kristen (Mike) Weissharr; sixteen great grandchildren; his longtime companion, Sharon Haun; her daughter, Lori (Chris) Bridges; and her children, Hannah, Hailey and Hamilton.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Centerville Community Church 10688 Dayton Lebanon Rd, Centerville, OH 45458, from 2-4pm. The interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Hospital For Children P.O. Box 1576 Ranson, WV 25438-9907.
