Born in Ogdensburg on January 28, 1945, Bob was a proud graduate of Hammond Central School. On June 25, 1966, he married the love of his life, the former Janie D. Gallagher, beginning a marriage built on love, faith, and dedication to family.
A lifelong farmer, Bob owned and operated the family farm for many years until 2008. Farming was more than his occupation—it was his way of life. He believed in hard work, caring for the land, and providing for his family through honest labor. His determination, strong work ethic, and quiet humility earned him the respect of neighbors and friends throughout the community. He was also a member of the Hammond Central School Board for fifteen years and a Free and Accepted Mason.
When he wasn't working the farm, Bob enjoyed hunting with friends, where the fellowship was just as important as the hunt. Above all else, he treasured the time spent with his family. Whether gathering for holidays, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying one another's company, Bob's greatest joy came from being surrounded by those he loved. His steady presence, gentle nature, and unwavering devotion to his family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
