Robert Leon Cohen

Robert Cohen, 73, of Fort Myers, passed away suddenly on April 28, 2026. He was born on February 4th, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Joseph and Leah Cohen.

He is survived by his wife, JoEllen; children Jeffrey (Julie) Cohen, Beth (Dean Bogner) Cohen, Becca (Alex) Tumarinson; grandchildren Kali Cohen, Zara Cohen, Foster and Colby Tumarinson; and sisters Sheryl (Joel) Sherman and Barbara (Bob) Rosenfield.

Robert spent his working life at Standard Textile in Cincinnati where he spent nearly five decades in sales, and was known for his dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic. Beyond his professional life, he was a man who valued his faith as he was very active in synagogues in both Cincinnati and Fort Myers, and he took great pride in the relationships he built over the years.

Robert will be remembered for his wittiness, passion and zest for life. Bob was an avid golfer playing courses all over the country and the world. Those who knew him will carry forward the memory of his lasting friendships, kindness and love for his family and friends.

A graveside funeral will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park on Sunday May 3rd, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Judea in Fort Myers Florida.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
