Robert "Bobby" Kimble passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, with his loving family by his side, in Grand Junction, Colorado.

He was born at Ernest Harmon Air Force Base in Newfoundland, on February 20, 1951, to Marguerite Buttell and Robert C. Kimble. Bobby spent most of his life in Leadville, Colorado. After graduating high school, he went to work on the Boustead Water Tunnel project. After that he became a welder and mill mechanic at the Climax Molybdenum Mine, then transferred to the Henderson Mill in Parshall, Colorado when Climax shut down. He never missed a Bronco game and was also a big fam of all the Nebraska teams. He was an excellent bowler and made it to the state tournament several times. During Boom Days in Leadville, he taught the tourists how to pan for gold. Fishing and camping at Lake Powell was his favorite place to go. The most important thing to him was spending time with his family, friends, and dogs. He is survived by his wife, Joan; his sons, Clay (Erin) and Buck; sister Susan (Joe) Trujillo; brother, Chris George; brother-in-law, George Kochevar; best friend, Bill Harrington; grandchildren, Skyler, Rowen, Dylan, and Kira. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite George; his father, Robert C. Kimble; and stepfather, Warren George. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at Martin Mortuary.
