Robert Trempe

Robert “Bob” Trempe passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, at the age of 71, following a short but intense and courageous battle with Stage 4 generalized lung cancer. He spent his final moments surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on July 5, 1954, Bob left this world just two days shy of his 72nd birthday. In a touching coincidence that would not have been lost on him, he passed away on the birthday of his father-in-law, with whom he shared an incredibly close bond.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Marie-Marthe, his sisters Joanne and Danielle, his in-laws Gordon and Perry whom he loved dearly and many loved ones who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

He leaves behind the love of his life and devoted wife, Dale, whose love and companionship meant everything to him. He is also survived by his three beloved children: Brian (Trish), Jason, and Kelly-Anne (Marc). He leaves behind his sister Linda (Paul) Lorraine (Leopold) and his brother Ronnie (Maryse) and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bobs greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren: Taylor, Logan, Kayden, Jaxson, Connor, and Hunter.

Bob had a remarkable gift for connecting with people. He made friends wherever he went — whether it was at Tim Hortons where staff knew his order by heart, at the corner stores he frequented, among neighbours, coworkers, lifelong friends, or the students he safely drove to and from school over the years. He was genuine, authentic, and deeply caring, always willing to lend a hand or share a conversation.

Bob’s absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled. He will be missed more than words could ever express, but his kindness, humour, generosity, and love will live on in the countless lives he touched.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Gatineau Hospital for the compassion, care, and comfort they provided to Bob during his final hours.
