Rodney R. Campbell

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rodney “El Sid” Campbell who returned to Allah on June 30, 2026 at the age of 72 in Bronxville, NY.Rodney was born on June 17, 1954 in The Bronx, NY to James and Elsie (Crippen) Campbell. He was raised in Washington Heights on 164th street in Manhattan and graduated from DeWitt Clinton High school in 1972. Immediately after high school, he started construction work with his brothers and his Uncle Albie. He worked as a carpenter and drywall taper for 40 years until his retirement in 2016.Rodney was first and foremost passionate about his family. His other passions and hobbies included music in every form, stereo equipment, film, and fishing. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, playful nature, steadfastness, and resilience.He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and siblings, with details of his family and service arrangement.
