Rodolfo "Rudy" Molina

7 août 2026 Dignity Memorial

Rodolfo “Rudy” Molina passed away peacefully, leaving this world to reunite with the love of his life, his wife, Petra. Rudy was born on October 3, 1944, in Robstown, Texas, to Thomas and Oleda Molina.

Rudy attended Robstown High School, where he played basketball and was a member of the FFA. He made lifelong friendships during his high school years and remained in touch with many of those friends throughout his life, including up until his passing.

After high school, Rudy proudly served in the United States Navy as a medic aboard a medical ship during the Vietnam War. In 1971, he married his high school sweetheart, Petra. Together, they shared 49 wonderful years of marriage before her passing in September 2020. Petra was the love of Rudy’s life, and their life together was filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories.

Although Rudy was born and raised in Robstown, Texas, he moved with his family to Ohio in 1978, where he proudly became a Buckeye. Rudy spent most of his working life as a car salesman, working for Byers, Jack Masheter, Jim Keim and several other local dealerships. He was known for his friendly personality and ability to make connections with the people he met throughout his career.

Rudy was a man who loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was always ready with a joke, a funny story, or a smile, and he loved being the life of the party. His sense of humor and joyful spirit could light up a room, and those who knew him will remember the laughter and happiness he brought into their lives.

Outside of work, Rudy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved watching sports with his wife, working in his garden and yard, watching old-time Westerns, enjoying a good cigar, and tinkering around in his garage. He also loved traveling back to Texas over the years to visit his friends and family. Those trips gave him the opportunity to reconnect with the people and places that remained so special to him throughout his life.

Above all, Rudy treasured his family. He spent countless hours with his three grandsons, proudly watching them play sports. He and Petra could always be found cheering them on from the stands, supporting them every step of the way. Family was at the heart of Rudy’s life, and the memories he created with those he loved will be treasured forever.
