Rogelio Armando Lara

Roger was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, family member, and friend. He touched many lives throughout his years, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

For 26 years, Roger was a loving husband, and together they built a life and a family. He leaves behind his wife, Shyara, and his two children, Kassandra and Joshua, who were truly the center of his world. Nothing brought him greater joy or made him prouder than being their father.

Roger was Joshua’s biggest supporter. He loved coaching lacrosse at Belen and treasured the time they spent together on and off the field. He took great pride in watching Joshua grow into the man he became and loved sharing in his accomplishments.

He was equally devoted to Kassandra. He was her biggest cheerleader, always encouraging her, supporting her, and celebrating her achievements. He loved watching her cheer and never missed an opportunity to tell others how proud he was of her. His love for both of his children was unwavering, and they remained his greatest source of pride throughout his life.

Roger was also a devoted son to his father, Rogelio, his mother, Cristina, and a loving stepson to Mary. He shared a special bond with his sister, Marisela, and brothers David, Danny and Michael and valued the love and support of his family throughout his life.

Anyone who knew Roger knew his love for the outdoors and the water. Whether he was fishing, diving, or catching lobsters, he felt most at peace on the ocean. Some of his happiest moments were spent surrounded by nature, doing the things he loved most.

Roger will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, his caring heart, and his protective nature. He was the kind of person who could make people laugh, offer a helping hand, and make those around him feel cared for. He loved deeply and was fiercely loyal to the people who mattered most to him.

Today we remember a loving husband, a proud father, a devoted son and brother, and a friend to many. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we are grateful for the memories he gave us, the love he shared, and the impact he had on our lives.

Roger’s legacy lives on through Kassandra and Joshua, through the family he loved, and through the countless memories we will carry with us forever.

Roger, thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the family we created together. Thank you for being the father of Kassandra and Joshua and for loving them so deeply. We will carry your memory with us always, and we will never forget the love and pride you had for your family.
