Ronald David Stanfield of Ames and formerly of Arlington, Washington and Eureka, California, passed on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the age of 89 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.There will be no formal services.Ronald was born on March 18, 1937 in Calexico, California to Stanley E and Anna P (Shipman) Stanfield. He graduated from Humboldt College in Eureka, California. He was united in marriage to Sherry Ann Newell on April 11, 1981 in San Mateo, California. He was a purchasing manager for Georgia Pacific. Ronald loved to play golf.Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Sherry; three sons, Ron Jr., Dennis and Edward; two daughters, Julie and Kelly; brother Don; granddaughters, Sadie and Suny; great grandson, Billy, and his great-great grandchildren.Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be left at www.stevensmemorialchapel.com for the Stanfield family.
