Rosalie Richards

Mrs. Rosalie Richards passed on September 17, 2026, at the age of 78 at the Canton Potsdam Hospital. Born on January 24, 1948, to Roy Thatcher and Virginia Butler in Potsdam, NY. Rosalie was living in Norwood, New York with her husband Clayton Richards. Arrangements for cremation are with the Garner Funeral Service. Rosalie is survived by her husband Clayton Richards, her children Steven (Sherry) Richards, Lynn Verrill, Kevin Richards, Anna Richards and Patty Richards; a grandchild Valerie Butler, brothers Gary Thatcher and Rick Butler and a sister Laurie Beamis. She is predeceased by a brother Lyle Thatcher. Rosalie was a graduate of Potsdam Central High School. In Dekalb Junction on October 11, 1968 she was married to Clayton Richards with the Justice of the Peace celebrant. She worked for a few years as a switch board operator for the New York State Troopers in Canton, NY. She then raised her five children.
