Rudy Davis, age 98, passed away at home on Saturday, April 18, 2026. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 23, 1927, to the late John Alvin Davis and Ida Jane Liphan Elliot. Prior to his military service, Mr. Davis was a United States Merchant Marine. He served in the United States Army, stationed in St. Louis, Missouri as a Purser. Following his service, he worked for Bridgestone with negotiations and industrial relations. He was a member of the Hiram Lodge #4 F&AM, VFW Post 4075, and Capital City Senior Activity Center. He is survived by his daughter, Robyn Davis; caretaker and friends, Huguette Birkhead and Carol Birkhead. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Fincke Davis.
He will be laid to rest in McDonough City Cemetery at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
