Ruth Ann Ellenbroek (Theobald)

DOB: August 8, 1931

Ruth was raised in Carle Place, NY by parents William and Helen Ellenbroek. Shortly after the end of WWII she met and married Frederick Theobald, combat veteran/Army Air Corp. Ruth and Fred moved to Bethpage and raised 3 children, Ellen Theobald Sgrizzi, Frederick Theobald, Ruth Ann Theobald Lalage. In addition to her Children, Ruth is survived by 6 grandchildren (three of which have the same birthday, May 24th) Matthew, Daniel, Brian, Nicole, Lauren and Kelsey.

Ruth also has 7 great grandchildren: Rocco, 15; Ruby, 13; Nolan, 8; Savannah, 11; Mason, 8; Wylder, 5: August, 1.

Ruth was witty, compassionate and generous with just the right amount of feistiness. She will be remembered as thoughtful and loving by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 125 W Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11801, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, 220 Central Ave, Bethpage, NY 11714, on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10:00 am

A Committal Service will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933.
