Sarah Lee

Sarah Lee, a devoted servant of God, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, writer, and broadcast host, entered eternal rest in Houston, Texas, on August 22, 2026.

Born in Korea, she was baptized as a covenant child in the Presbyterian Church. Throughout her life, she faithfully served the Lord alongside her beloved husband, the late Rev. Dr. Stephan Y. Lee. Her lifelong dedication to Christian ministry and education led her to earn both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Philadelphia Bible Institute and Seminary in Pennsylvania, as well as an Honorary Doctorate from Southern Reformed Seminary in Texas.

A woman of rich talents and creativity, she reached many through her voice, ministry, and the arts. She hosted television talk shows for a TV in Washington, D.C., and Christian radio programs for a Houston Christian radio. An accomplished writer and poet, she won the Life Essay Contest in Los Angeles, earned the New Writers Award in Poetry, and published her book, Songs of the Morning Bird in 2007. She was also an accomplished artist whose works were exhibited at the Southwestern American Artists Association Exhibitions in 2005 and 2007, and she served with passion as the Director of the Houston Sign Language Worship Choir.

She is survived by a loving family who will carry forward her legacy of faith and love:

Visitation will be held at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, KATY, TX 77494, US, on August 25, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will take place at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079, US, on August 25, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
