Schawn Berry

In Loving Memory of Schawn "King" Berry. Born the fourth of eleven children in East St. Louis, Illinois, Schawn grew up in a home shaped by faith and purpose. His parents were ministers, and he carried that quiet faith throughout his life. He was known as a protector to his siblings, excelled in track, and was a licensed electrician, always capable with his hands.

Schawn met the love of his life, Edith, while working as CNAs. Together, they built a blended family with six children and shared a deep love rooted in caring and protection. He was a steady presence in his children's lives, teaching them through actions rather than words.

He was a family philosopher, a lover of good food and conversation, and a man who quietly showed his love and care. His final days showed his deep connection to his children, waking immediately when they entered the room.

Schawn leaves behind his wife Edith, six children, many grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and many friends. His legacy of love, quiet strength, and faith continues to influence those who knew him.
