Scott Anson

David Scott Anson, age 62 of Clayton, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at his residence.

A memorial service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 28, 2026, in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Hepting officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Scott was born on October 8, 1963, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was raised in Buncombe County, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father Herbert Anson.

He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the owner and operator of Anson and Sons Construction Inc. for 34 years. He was very meticulous, especially when it came to his work and he thoroughly enjoyed it.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Jones Anson; his wife of 40 years, Julie Suddreth Anson; two sons, David Anson (Nikki), Jake Anson; three grandchildren, Gunner, Gatlin and Wyatt Anson; sister, Traci Storto (Ronald); niece, Madeline Summers and uncle, Wayne Jones (Bea).
