Shirley Ann Miller, 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away surrounded by her family. She was born on August 5, 1936, in Louisville.
Shirley lived a life centered around family and the warmth that it brought. She was the proud mother of Vicki Miller, Terri Jett (Greg Jett), Susie Excell, and Jeffery Miller, and is also survived by Michael Shaw (brother) and Judy Ryan (sister). Shirley leaves behind a loving legacy through her 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Family gatherings were the heart of Shirley’s life, especially during the Kentucky Derby and Christmas. She was a devoted fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, New York Yankees, and NASCAR, and also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and her trips to Big Lots.
She was known as “Little Grandma” by her grandchildren, Shirley may have stood only 4 feet 8 inches tall, but her spirited personality filled every room. She was spunky, kindhearted, and never met a stranger. Her love, laughter, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky, on May 28, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and a Funeral Service will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky, on May 29, 2026, at 11:00 am.
