Sofia P. Antonio

Sofia P. Antonio, 88, of Palm Coast, FL formerly of Danbury, CT, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026. She was the wife of the late Afonso L. Antonio.

Sofia was born in Coentral das Barreiras, Portugal, daughter of the late Diamantino and Palmira Alves. Sofia was employed for Davis & Geck / American Cyanamid for 30 years before retiring in 1995.

Sofia moved to Palm Coast, Florida in 2004. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish while in Danbury and of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish in Palm Coast. She was a member of the Portuguese Cultural Center in Danbury and also a member of the Portuguese Cultural Center in Palm Coast, Florida.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters: Elizabeth Cabral and

son-in-law, Lauro, of Palm Coast, FL; and Susan Pereira and son in-law, Luis, of Brookfield, CT; her grandsons, Justin and Matthew Cabral of Florida; her sister, Manuela Lourenco, of Portugal, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Charles T. Sease.

Friends will be received from 9:30am to 10:30am on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury, CT. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave. Ext., Danbury, CT.
