Stanley Teitel

Stanley Teitel was born on December 4, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York to parents, Murray and Rene Teitel. He attended CUNY graduating with a degree in Biology. He completed his Master’s in Education where he met his future wife, Toni Saraneiro. Stanley and Toni married on July 3, 1977. They settled in New City where they raised their two children, Jason and Lauren.Stanley became a physics and chemistry teacher and joined the staff at the Stuyvesant High School in 1983 . He spent a total of 29 years at Stuyvesant High School retiring as the principal. He enjoyed his career immensely which spanned 41 years as an educator.After retirement Stanley enjoyed traveling, volunteering, and spending time with his two grandsons and visiting with friends and neighbors.Stanley will be missed by his children Jason (Kerry) and Lauren (Vincent), his grandsons, Travis and Luke, his Granddogs Adora, Floyd and Lucky.Stanley is predeceased by his parents and he was laid in eternal rest beside his wife Toni at St. Anthony’s on April 24, 2026.
