Sue E. (Leslie) Raymond

Sue E. (Leslie) Raymond, age 81, passed away July 22, 2026, with her family at her side.

At Sue’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Sue was born January 31, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri to Francis (Jeff) and Lillian Leslie. She grew up in Raytown, Missouri and graduated from Raytown High School in 1963. Following graduation, she had local positions before starting in 1982 at United Telecom now T-Mobile.

Sue and Dan Raymond met on a snowy night at a dance hall in January 1984. They started dating and were married September 14, 1984. Sue retired from Sprint in April 1990 and traveled with Dan for several years on his business trips. Sue was an avid fan of music and played her red drums with a local band Solid Gold for several years in the early 1980’s.

Four years ago, Sue contracted a debilitating disease that has no treatment, no medicine, and is nearly unknown by the public as well as the medical community. Sue was strikingly attractive and never left her house without being dressed to a T. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Dan Raymond, daughter Kelly Hilderbrand, grandson Dillon Hilderbrand, many other family members, and her many, many friends. Sue was thankful that she was able to remain at home to be cared for by her family. God Bless her.
