It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susana (Lala) de Guzman Hennigan,
who died on September 5, 2026, in Ste-Pétronille, Île-d’Orléans.

On Monday, October 5, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. followed by a religious ceremony at 1:00 p.m.
Born in the Philippines, she worked as a schoolteacher before eventually emigrating to New York City, where she built a successful career in the publishing business. She later immigrated to Canada, where she settled on Île d’Orléans, Quebec, a place she dearly loved and chose for her retirement and remaining days of her life.
She was the wife of the late James Pascal Hennigan.
She is survived by her son Siegfred Hennigan, her daughter Suzanne Hennigan-Jensen and her grand-children Joshua Roca and Sade Jensen, her nieces Laurie Guertin, Lynette Obrero-Roca and Gemmaline Gonzalez and her grand-niece and grand-nephew Daniele Roca and Nikita Sotelo.
She will be missed by all her remaining relatives, extended family, and neighbours.
She is preceded in death by her brother Walfredo de Guzman.
