In memory of Suzanne Fontaine Couture
Suzanne Fontaine Couture passed away in Sherbrooke on June 25, 2026, at the age of 88. She was the wife of Victorien Couture and the daughter of the late Edmond Fontaine and Phébée Gilbert. The family will receive condolences on July 10, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Coopérative funéraire de l’Estrie, followed by a ceremony at 5:00 PM in the same location. Her burial will take place at the Lac-Mégantic cemetery at a later date.
She is survived by her children René (Maryse Lambert) and Mélanie (Richard Cotnoir), her grandsons Cédrik and Félix, and her great-grandchildren Théo and Zach. She was the sister of the late Pauline, Bertrand, Gérard, Roger, Fernand, Jeannine, Monique, Laurier, Denise, and Jean-Luc and the sister-in-law of Feu Gaétan Couture and others. The family thanks the staff at the St-Joseph retirement centre for their care.
