Tammy Gentry, age 59, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026. She was born on April 30, 1967 in Decatur, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Scott Gentry, her mother, Marsha Carol Fast and her father and mother-in-law, Donald and Dorothy Gentry.
Tammy was a nurse instructor for Chattahoochee Technical College and had worked as a nurse for Wellstar Cobb Hospital. She loved to teach and loved her students. Tammy was also a huge University of Georgia fan.
Surviving are her son, Robbie Gentry; her father, Byron and Martha Fast and her sister, Michelle and Charles Ottosen.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. from Bellamy Funeral Home in Hiram, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fulton County Animal Shelter.
