Teresa Mae Carrigan

Teresa M. Carrigan, age 71, of Peoria, IL passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Born August 10, 1954 in Moline, IL to Dale and Esther (Lowe) Fuller; she married John Carrigan in Galesburg, IL. He survives, of Peoria.

Also surviving are her stepdaughter, Nita (David) Symbersky of Mackinaw, IL; brother, Russell (Julie) Fuller of Peoria, AZ; and sister, Linda (Gordon) Shipley of Topeka, KS.

Preceding her in death were her parents and stepdaughter, Katy Carrigan.

Teresa had worked for Caterpillar, Inc. and Petro South in Griffin, GA.

She loved to craft, played piano and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

For many years, she sponsored to girls, Prima and Suborna, who lived at the Home of Hope, an orphanage in Bangladesh, and she loved them very much.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, 2408 West Willow Knolls Drive in Peoria with inurnment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Home of Hope through Hope Generation to continue her commitment to helping children.
