It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Wayne Varney on May 21, 2026, in Wakefield, QC. Born November 16, 1939, in Windsor Mills QC, he was the eldest son of the late Kenneth and Iris Varney. He attended the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal, where he met and married Muriel M. Belanger. Terry dedicated his life to veterinary medicine, practicing in Aylmer, QC, for 54 years, caring for thousands of animals and sharing his knowledge generously. He is survived by his sister Nela, three sons Jonathan, Gregory (Jane), and Justin (Julia), grandchildren Jacob, Vivienne, Charlotte, Graeme, Katherine, and great-grandson Yoen. Terry’s wishes were to have no memorial service. His family thanks all the caregivers who looked after him during his final years. In lieu of flowers, donations to charity are encouraged.
