Thurman W. Williams, 77, of North Port, FL, formerly of Charleston, passed away August 8, 2026. Having recently been born again, he is now rejoicing in the presence of his Savior.
He was born May 21, 1949, in Eskdale, the son of Robert (Booker) and Mary Harrison Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John Dewey Williams.
Thurman was a highly regarded foundational figure at the KCEAA. Having been a part of the agency since its inception in 1977. A dedicated EMT-Paramedic he spent decades serving both on the front lines and as a key face of the agency’s community footprint. He was a US Navy veteran. Thurman was an avid golfer and loved cruising with family and friends. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend that will be greatly missed by all who know him.
