Timothy Lyle Good

Timothy "Tim" Lyle Good passed away on Sunday April 19, 2026, at the age of 71, having been born on July 1, 1954, in Madison, WI. He was a resident of Rutledge, Tennessee.

Tim met his wife Mary in High School and had four kids who he was very proud of. Family was the most important thing to Tim. His favorite times were driving the boat for the grandkids to tube, watching them play sports and he especially loved the entire family gathering under one roof during the holidays. Tim had many passions in his life, including fishing, golfing, sailing, water and snow skiing which he enjoyed sharing with his grandchildren. Tim spent 40 years as an OTR Tire Salesman at Goodyear and Maxim. Sales was the perfect career, as he could strike up a conversation with anyone. Tim was well known for his distinguished deep voice and recognizable laugh. He loved working in his yard and would willingly help others with their projects anytime his toys could be used. Tim was a faithful member of Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church, supporting the church in any role could.

Preceding him in death were his parents: Lyle and Rhoda Butler Good.

Tim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Fuller Good; children: Brian (Alecia) Good, Matthew (Rene') Good, Melissa (Josh) Willets and David (Qinghua) Good. Grandchildren: Tyler, Carson and Nathan Good; Ryan, Nicole and Erin Good; Emma, Kinsley and Micah Willets; Esther, Alexis, Andrew and Ruthie Good. Siblings: Tari Howard, Tom (Jane) Good, Tracee Ramos and Trisha (Dave) Angell.

And all of his friends from Shiloh Springs, Hoppers Bluff, Mary's Chapel, Goodyear, Maxam, and the OTR Dealers.

Visitation will be held at Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 410 Mary’s Chapel Rd., Bean Station, TN 37708, on April 25, 2026 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Services will be held at 3:00 pm, also at Mary’s Chapel, with reception following.
