Vicki Jo Jamis, 79, passed on September 9, 2026, after a battle with lung cancer. Born July 17, 1947, Vicki Jo was from Independence, Missouri, and later resided in Kansas City, Missouri.
Vicki graduated from University of Missouri and built a steady working life with AT&T, retiring after years of dedicated service. She was also a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and a member of the Military Order of the Cootie Auxiliary, commitments that reflected a deep respect for service and a steadfast loyalty to community.
Vicki was preceded in death by parents James and Ruth Vaughan.
Vicki is survived by husband Charlie Jamis, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage; daughter Joey Pollard; son Jim Jamis; daughter-in-law Sierra Jamis; grandsons Lane Pollard and Jordan Jamis; and granddaughters Haley Pollard and Alyssa Jamis.
Memorial contribution may be made to the American Lung Association.
