Victoria Slaiwa Dawood, born July 1, 1937, passed on September 3, 2026, at the age of 89; Victoria was born in Iraq and made her home in San Diego, California. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family and all those who knew her. Victoria is survived by her two sons, Mazen Assak and Ray Assak.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. at St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral, 1627 Jamacha Way, El Cajon, CA 92019. The Funeral Service will be followed by a Committal Service at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, 4470 Hilltop Dr., San Diego, CA 92102, at 12:15 p.m. A reception will follow at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Syriac Catholic Church, 1101 S. Mollison Ave., El Cajon, CA 92020, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
