Vinh Le, at the age of 58, passed away peaceably on July 1, 2026 in his home after a 3 year battle with prostate cancer.
Vinh was born in 1968 in the city of Saigon, Vietnam. Following the Fall of Saigon, he and his sister, Kimhue left the country in 1982. From the refugee camp, with the aid of family and a Catholic aid organization, they were able to settle in Colorado, USA.
At the age of 16, Vinh began working for the United States Forest Service. From there, his love for the Forest Service would grow and Vinh would spend the next 41 years in service, medically retiring in 2025. During this time, he filled various roles, from working in the field loading air tankers to web page management. He received an award in recognition of his efforts for the Forest Service in 2000.
At the time of his passing, he is survived by his wife, Phuong, of 6 years.
