Wadius Lawson McGowan passed on May 23, 2026, at the age of 84, having been born on June 27, 1941, in Alabama. Wadius is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn McGowan; brothers, Chris McGowan, Lane McGowan and Gerald McGowan; parents, Jay and Nellie McGowan. Wadius is survived by his daughter, Amanda McGowan; son, Matthew McGowan (Christy); grandchildren, Gracin, Zoey, Caitlyn (J.J.), Jacob, and Chelsea; brother, Michael McGowan (Sharon). A Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 26, 2026 from 6:00-8:00PM from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama with a Funeral Service to begin on Wednesday May 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Garden.
