With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Wallace "Buddy" Phillips Jr., who passed away peacefully at home on June 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Buddy was a proud Vietnam War veteran whose strength, courage, and unwavering love for his family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He lived a life filled with resilience, kindness, and devotion, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Buddy was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Phillips Sr.; his mother, Claire Rice-Phillips; and his sisters, Brenda, Barbara, and Patsy.
He is survived by his sisters, Shirley, Rebecca, and Mary-Jo; his loving children, Wallace "Willie" Phillips III, Lonnie Phillips (Kayla), Katrina, Aisha Watson (Ally), and Breana. He also leaves behind 14 cherished grandchildren, 11 beloved great-grandchildren, and an abundance of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.
Buddy was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his love, laughter, and legacy will remain in our hearts forever. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by many.
