Walter Eugene Wright, of Decatur, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Walter was a loving husband, son, brother, and friend whose kindness and faith left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. In his younger years, he was a musician. He enjoyed sharing his musical talents and had a deep appreciation for music. An electrician by trade, Walter took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Walter’s life was guided by his unwavering faith in God. He found joy in many things, including cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide and attending football games whenever he could. He also loved traveling with his beloved wife, Donna, creating treasured memories together. Among the many places they visited, Lake Tahoe held a special place in his heart.
Above all else, Walter cherished time spent with family and friends. His warm spirit, steadfast faith, and genuine love for others will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
